Fantasy Football 2009

Who would have thunk when two years ago I timidly drafted my first fantasy football team I would be so pumped about my third year in a row. Well probably @shireman and the nfl but whatever. Tonight we are drafting the Yinz Team League and I’m going to be able to draft my team this year.

Quick recap: Last year I was out of town or something for the draft date. Since I really didn’t have any skill at fantasy football I sent @carmanavenue over to draft in my stead. I think he did a great job getting me the #1 QB in the leage at the time. Too bad that guy got hit by an arrow in the ankle week whocares.

This year will be different. I’ve spent hours developing my avatar and thinking up a team name. Ok not really. So I can’t decide between the no huddle drinkers or red handed fumblers.

UPDATE

So we took too long to actually draft our teams last night, only getting through eleven rounds. We’ll pick up the rest of our roster when the draft goes up, and with 16 teams by round 11 you really are getting players who might or might not play each week, slim pickens as it were.  This is the second year in a row I’m lucky enough to draft first. Our group employs the highly sophisticated choose a paper number out of a cup method to determine draft order.

So here is the line up not in draft order:

A pretty decent group if I say so myself. As long as my #1 pick stays healthy this year I might have a fighting chance.
