AiP Archives – Justin Kownacki

Today we were digging through the AiP archives and we stumbled across this little gem, the 1999-2000 Catalog of Programs.

In case you missed it look again at the handsome young man in the center of the image. You guessed it, Justin Kownacki is seen here welcoming all young and creative minds to the fair city of Pittsburgh. Maybe he isn’t welcoming them as much as saying come to me young ones or maybe “free hugs.”

Who knew that young Kownacki would go on to lead the internet in the world’s longest running web series, set Pittsburgh’s new media scene on fire through PodCamp Pittsburgh, and lead a short lived modling career at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. I should add that Justin started writing for the alumni newsletter in ’03, and from what I understand he started and maintained the student newsletter while a in school.
