Vote STBD

Here is the thing. This am I got word the the longest running web series was nominated for a Yahoo Video Web Award (or whatever name they gave it). Here is the other thing Something To Be Desired is in a class by itself. Here is the other thing, it is getting stomped by The Guild.

Now The Guild is an awesome show by itself but I don’t understand how all these show up for this "award" are really up against each other. STBD is really a different kind of show that all of these. Now I think it is awesome that all these show are on the table but somehow the Guild is over 900 more that any other show right now. How is this possible. What is going on. They had about 500 votes when I checked the site for the first time and every other show was under 100. WTF Yahoo. Great for The Guild but what is going on.

So go vote for STBD for two reasons. It is a PGH based show. They are really doing things on a low budget, and they were one of the first shows ever online not to forget the longest running. Show some respect.

Check out Something To Be Desired or The Guild. I do like both shows, but I clearly want STBD to win over the guild.

  1. Hey Norm, I’m really enjoying the series so far. Did you know that the Academy is allowing online content (webisodes and series) to be submitted for the 2008 Primetime Emmy’s? This is a great chance for a web series to show that there is much talent to be found over the internet! If you’re interested and would like your favorite web series to win, check out http://www.emmys.com to read about the new rules regarding online content! And please help spread this message, it would be great to see a web series win an Emmy!

  2. Norm, I’m the creator of The Guild and I saw your post. I totally appreciate your passion for STBD, I love it as well! We have a lot of motivated fans who vote, because they basically fund our show and have an interest in us winning, so that’s why when I send out a bulletin we get a lot of votes.
I think any publicity for webisodes is great for all of us, we’re totally rocking the old media world, all of us series together. :) Here’s to the revolution!
